The music for the Spring Festival will begin with the garden's decade-long tradition of performing two hours of music for children, including Beatles songs and American folk music performed by garden members Brooke Dramer (vocals and guitar) and Eman Rashid (vocals and hand puppets), as well as singer/songwriter/guitarist Jenny Amanda Hurwitz. This year we will be joined by singer/guitarist Lydia Adams Davis.

15th Street between 5th & 6th Avenues will be closed to traffic from from 10am–3pm. Hula hoops will be provided, come join us!
The afternoon music will begin with the return of Gorilla Baroque, a chamber music ensemble with garden member Tracy Fitz on flute and with Martha Siegel on cello and Anna Maltby on violin. They will be followed by cellist (and garden member) Anahit Gaskill. We will also see/hear the return of singer/guitarist Marcus Jade. Dancer/choreographer Pia Monique Murray will be performing for 6/15 Green for the fourth time. The concert will close with a performance by Sarah Mucho, a local, award-winning musician, singer/songwriter, and cabaret artist.
6/15 Green has partnered with two longtime artists to display garden-related art along 15th street during the Spring Festival. Both are members of the Park Slope Windsor Terrace Artists group. Carol Adams is a potter who has been creating planters, and will set up shop next to the plant sale. Linda Schneider is a talented painter specializing in our landscape. She has many bright paintings of the Vermont country-side, but for this garden fence exhibition she'll feature luscious Brooklyn scenes. The Open Space Gallery will also be on display on the other side of the garden, near the barbeque and picnic table, and will feature a display of mixed media assemblage by another skilled local artist, Joseph Militello. This year, The Open Space Gallery will include a new feature, Paw Tails- pugshots of pets, because pets are family too!
