Duties:

• This relates to Locations 4/7 on Map)

• Ensure that tools and structures are in good repair

• START OF SEASON:

  • Inspects all tools and discards those which are broken or which are too rusted to salvage and sharpen.

  • Compiles an inventory of tools and cleans and sharpens those (shovels, shears, cutting tools) with a sharpening stone.

  • Organizes Tool Lockers so that tools are accessible and are sheltered from the weather.

• MID-SEASON GROUP PROJECT DAY:

  • Empties the Red Shed and, under guidance of a senior member, discards materials that are either broken, water damaged or are otherwise damaged and materials which have not been used for several seasons.

• POSSIBLE LATER GROUP PROJECT DAY PROJECT:

  • Building new shelving to go along the entire rear wall of the Red Shed and Improving the lighting within it.

• CONTINUALLY THROUGHOUT SEASON:

  • Rounding up tools left in garden plots and returning them to the Tool Lockers or Red Shed.
